Knitted fabrics are well known for the elegance and durability that they possess. Knitted fabrics refers to vast variety of fabrics that come in to existence after going through the knitting process. Knitting basically refers to one of the ways of turning the thread or yarn in the form of cloth. Knitting basically consists of bights pulled through other bights. There basically consists two types of knitting viz. weft knitting and warp knitting.
A weft-knitted fabric consists of horizontal parallel courses of yarn and requires only a single yarn. By contrast, warp knitting requires one yarn for every stitch in the row Warp knitting is generally done by machine, whereas weft knitting may be done by machine or by hand. Knitted fabrics are well popular for their durability and reliabilty and are used across the world for long time.
